Why you shouldn't go without sleep for a long time!
Why sleep is so important to us!
Most kids are not a big fan of going to bed on time every night, but despite on what those kids think most parents or even other single independent adults feel the same way about the issue. Interestingly enough, what do parents do? They put their young children to bed early every night. Ironically despite long hours of work each day, taking care of children and possibly going to school themselves, most adults will procrastinate this process for themselves. I think the biggest issue with adults not getting enough sleep these days is mostly due to the high technology we have these days that keep us wired all night. We have so much to choose from when it comes to fun-filled, mostly computerized activities that our brains need a rest after a long day but we choose not to give our brains time to recover because of the new game on our x-box or the new movie on TV, or even maybe Facebook! LOL
Due to this process of continuously procrastinating sleep, as we age we become prone to different diseases, mostly mental illness or neurological problems such as migraines, but we also can just become very cranky and moody, be prone to accidents from lack of focus, and do poorly at work, or at school. And when I mean accidents, I'm mostly concerned over automobile accidents because it can cause lives to be taken, but sleep is also very essential in helping mood because if you cannot be happy then you can't make the ones you love around you happy either. That in turn can cause damage to otherwise healthy relationships as a bad mood based on poor sleep can cause a lot of misunderstandings between people.
So therefore, my advice today is that if you've been under a lot of stress and feel very tired, lacking in concentration or even feeling sick, check to see what time you are going to bed every night and check also to see if you are getting the minimum of 8 hours of sleep each night. I am my worst enemy when it comes to this, but others can do better. Get your daily dose of sleep please!
